Here at Handforth Dean Retail Park, we are very proud to sponsor a black labrador Milly to go through a 2-year training programme to become a guide dog.

Thanks to the generous donations of our shoppers, we have been able to donate a further £981.97 to the guide dog association.

The generous donations made by the community will mean that the Guide Dog charity is able to provide a person with sight loss with a personal plan, assessments, and training sessions to improve their independence and mobility skills, helping them live the life they choose.

Milly, is 16 months old and is currently in the last stages of her training.  After 24 months of training, she will give freedom and independence to someone with sight loss.

Milly has been training for some time now and she has been progressing well throughout, with regular updates being sent to Centre manager Alan Wright thanks to the team at guidedogs.org.uk.
