Handforth Dean is proud to be a part of the Dementia Friends initiative.

The centre, and our Tesco and Marks and Spencer store are signed up to the scheme. What this means is we are continuously working towards being a Dementia Friendly place.
We have staff that are Dementia Champions, having undergone training with the Alzheimer’s Society. These staff members have then been accredited to deliver Dementia Friends training.

These training sessions educate staff on dementia and what actions they can take to help support those with Dementia when they are visiting our centre and beyond,
